Itinerary

• Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo - Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs

  Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and will then escort you to your hotel in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, your tour manager will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your vacation itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

  Overnight in Cairo.

• Day 2 - Pyramids and Cairo Sightseeing

  After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your personal guide to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple. Then, head out to the Egyptian Museum where the treasures of the boy king Tutankhamen await you. Continue to Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s oldest and most alluring bazaar. Later, you’ll head back to the hotel and stay overnight in Cairo.

• Day 3 - Fly from Cairo to Luxor - Nile Cruise Tour

  After your checkout from the hotel in the morning, you’ll be transferred to Cairo Airport for a flight with EGYPTAIR to Luxor, where you will be greeted and taken by an air-conditioned vehicle your Nile cruise ship. After lunch on board, enjoy a visit to the impressive Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple. You’ll have dinner on board the ship and stay overnight.

• Day 4 - Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

  You’ll have an early breakfast onboard, then head out to visit the Royal Cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, the Valley of the Kings, then to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom during the 15th century BC. Travel on to the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, you will sail to Edfu, enjoying a leisurely dinner on board. Overnight on board the ship.

• Day 5 - Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

  After breakfast on board, you’ll stop for a visit to the Temple of Edfu, the best-preserved temple of the ancient world. The structure is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. You’ll then sail to Kom Ombo, where you’ll encounter the twin temple of Kom Ombo, where you’ll learn about the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, whose monuments decorate each half of the temple. You’ll have your lunch back onboard the ship and sail on to Aswan. You’ll have dinner and stay overnight onboard the cruise ship.

• Day 6 - Aswan Nile Cruise Tour

  After your breakfast on the Nile cruise ship, enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan. Start with the High Dam and then visit the Unfinished Obelisk in the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the largest obelisk yet discovered. You’ll then proceed to the beautiful Temple of Philae, devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. You’ll have your dinner and stay overnight aboard the ship.

• Day 7 - Fly from Aswan to Cairo

  You’ll disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast and then transfer to Aswan Airport for your return to Cairo, where you will be met and assisted at the airport and then taken to your hotel. Overnight stay in Cairo.

• Day 8 - Cairo - Fly to Tanzania / Kilimanjaro – Tarangire

  Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by free time at your leisure. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Tanzania. You will be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport by your guide. Then, drive to Tarangire, about 4 hrs driving. Dinner and overnight at Whistling Thorn Camp (Moivaro group facility).

• Day 9 - Tarangire – Karatu, about 2.5 hrs

  After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for game drive. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu (Ngorongoro Highlands). Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.

  TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK:Tarangire National Park lies 120 km south of Arusha, along The Great North Road highway, and is very popular for day trips from the town. Tarangire offers a wide variety of wildlife in its area of 2,850 sq. km. As in all ecosystems, the vegetation and the types of animals you find are closely correlated. The principal features of the park are the flood plains and the grassland, mainly comprising of various types of acacia trees, and a few scattered baobabs, tamarind and the sausage trees.

• Day 10 - Karatu – Serengeti, about 3 hrs

  After enjoying your breakfast, depart to Serengeti, en-route visit Maasai Village. Arrive for lunch at the camp. Afternoon, have a game drive in Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree Camp (Bougainvillea group facility).

• Day 11 - Serengeti

  Morning and afternoon, have a game drive in Serengeti National Park. All meals and overnight at Thorn Tree Camp (Bougainvillea group facility).

  SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK: A World Heritage Site and recently proclaimed a World Wide Wonder, Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The park is located some 320 km to the northwest of Arusha, lying in a high plateau between the Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenya/ Tanzania border, and extending almost to Lake Victoria to the west, covering a total area of 14,763 square kilometres. Aptly named “endless plains” by the Maasai people, you immediately experience this vastness as you enter the southeastern plains of the park from Ngorongoro.​

• Day 12 - Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Karatu

  Depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro for half day crater tour .Late afternoon, arrive at your lodge in Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.

  NGORONGORO CRATER: A UNESCO protected World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area covering an area of 8292 sq km consists of the Ngorongoro Crater itself, Empakai Crater, Oldupai Gorge, and Ndutu including the short grass plains of the south eastern Serengeti ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), their livestock and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. The stunning spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater, with its steep walls falling some 610 metres to the floor, is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a safari tour in Tanzania. “It is impossible to give a fair description of the size and beauty of the Crater for there is nothing with which one can compare it. It is one of the Wonders of the World…” once wrote Professor Bernhard Grzimek. The crater floor is home to thousands of plain animals, including the rare black rhino, zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, eland, elephants, and a large predator population of lions, hyena, and jackal.​

• Day 13 - Karatu – Manyara

  Breakfast and depart with picnic to Manyara National Park for game drive. Dinner and overnight at Migunga Forest Camp (Moivaro group facility).

  LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK:The cleavage, known as the Great Rift Valley, can be identified from space as the most distinctive feature of the continent. The seam of this cleavage has developed a series of fascinating and beautiful lakes. Manyara is a fantastic big game park. The variety of habitats parallels its exceptional scenery. Every imaginable East African animal is found here in abundance. There are great herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and several varieties of gazelle. Mahogany, sausage tree and croton are alive with blue monkeys and vervet monkeys. Some of the most amazingly large pods of hippos congregate at the rivers emerging into the lake, and the birdlife are plentiful. Lake Manyara is also known for its tree-climbing lions.

• Day 14 - Manyara – Arusha, about 2.5 hrs – Fly Back Home

  After having your breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
